Amanda Soden has worked as a Paralegal and Bookkeeper for Shenker & Bonaparte since 2009. Born in Nairobi, Kenya, Ms. Soden spent most of her childhood living in eastern and southern Africa and the Indian subcontinent. Her family has a long history of overseas aid service including building roads in Maseru, Lesotho, providing aid to Afghan refugees in Peshawar, Pakistan and assisting with HIV/AIDS testing and education in Gaborone, Botswana. Ms. Soden graduated Summa Cum Laude from Principia College in Elsah, Illinois with degrees in Theatre and Philosophy. Ms. Soden obtained her Paralegal and Bookkeeping certifications from Portland Community College. Besides working in the legal field, Ms. Soden works as a professional actor. You may have seen her on stage at Portland Center Stage, Artists Repertory Theatre, or Profile Theatre, to name a few. Ms. Soden also enjoys volunteering. She has served on the boards of Cerimon House and Portland Area Theatre Alliance and currently volunteers at the Oregon Humane Society. Ms. Soden is an avid soccer fan and regularly attends Portland Timbers and Thorns matches. Her favorite part of working in law is the opportunity to support clients and help them feel comfortable with the legal process.
